Coulee Region Bike Tours

The Coulee Region Bike Tours will take place on the 5th of May, 2012 and you will have a choice of three scenic rides. This tour is a noncompetitive and leisure event that will not be timed. The tours have gone through some updates and changes to improve the experience of the participants. Since we have a new sponsor, River Trail Cycles, we have managed to develop 3 new routes to better suit the different levels of riders.

Time

The tours will start at 8:00 am. Every rider has to start before 8:30 am.

The Courses

The 3 options you have to choose from all have incredible scenery as well as great cycling for the diverse levels of riders. The first one is a 5-mile family friendly ride, which goes on the trails to the marsh and back to the Riverside Park. The second is a 32-mile, and it is a relatively easy flat ride through Goose Island that goes to Stoddard and back to the park. This is an excellent option for beginners.

The last one is a challenging 62-mile ride with rolling hills, several climbs as well as one large climb. This ride will also go to Goose Island to the Stoddard and through Coon Valley and Chaseburg for a ride filled with scenery. Within this 62-mile ride, you will have the option to take the 43-mile loop by taking the 34m ride through Goose Island and then looping to Chaseburg for a large climb before going back to the park. The registration fees will stay the same, and there will be maps provided on the day of the event for the ride that you want to take.

Registration

If you are a registered participant, you will be able to transfer your registration to a different event. You must fill this Request Form and submit it to us by the 30th of April, 2012, to the above-mentioned address. You will, however, have to pay $10 and the difference between the entry fees. If you switch to a cheaper event, you will not be given a refund, and you will still have to pay the fee mentioned above. Note that the entry fee is not refundable and you cannot transfer it to next year. The pre-registration will be closed on the 30th of April, 2012. However, you will be able to register on the event day at the Eagle statue in the Riverside Park between 7:00 am and 8:30 am on the 5th of May (Sunday).
